Dentures.
Pt. Chevalier Family Dentist is equipped to fit dentures in our Auckland based clinic.
For those in Auckland who have lost one or more of their teeth due to any injury, accident, illness or simply because of poor oral hygiene, dentures may be a much needed solution. Dentures look and feel like your natural teeth and can help restore facial aesthetics as well as the ability to eat and speak properly.
When looking for dentures, consulting both a dental technician and an implant dentist is the best way to get dentures that firmly stay in place while providing restored chewing abilities and a full taste sensation. Our experts are here to assist you in choosing the best option for your needs by providing you with relevant information and advice.
What dentures are best to get?
Are you considering dentures to replace missing teeth? Different types of dentures offer a range of advantages, such as improving the look and feel of your smile, restoring function and clarity when speaking, and looking extremely natural. We can help you determine which setup is best suited for your needs. With so many high-quality options made out of modern materials, you’ll be sure to find a solution that works for you.
Are dentures comfortable?
We focus on making sure you feel comfortable during and after fitting your dentures in place. It’s common to experience some pain and discomfort with your dentures initially. We normally plan regular visits to the following the fitting, to help you adjust to your dentures.
We recommend a diet of eating soft foods and small pieces of food initially, and once you become used to your new dentures you will be able to return to your normal diet.
How to clean and maintain dentures?
It’s important to keep your dentures clean as dentures are prone to stains, plaque and tartar build-up just like your natural teeth. The recommended cleaning process for dentures includes, placing the dentures and a denture-cleaning tablet in warm water, using a soft brush and gently brushing your dentures (just like your teeth), and rinsing thoroughly with water.
What do dentures cost?
The cost of dentures depends on a few different factors, and each patient’s unique situation. At a consultation appointment, we will examine your teeth and be able to give you an estimate of the price.
